Scope of Position:                                                  

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the HR Generalist (SR) coordinates all aspects of multi-company recruiting and hiring, administration of Company policies and Wellness Programs, as well as the Company Benefit programs.  Serves as coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures position classification, pre-employment testing and employee selection for multi-based companies, is accomplished in an acceptable time frame
  • Advises managers regarding disciplinary policies and procedures and in conjunction with the Vice President of Human Resources or the Corporate HR and Payroll Manager, recommend actions for equitable resolution and other employee relation matters, including accurate and appropriate interpretation of collective bargaining agreements (as it relates to payroll, benefits)
  • Conducts thorough, effective and objective investigations
  • Creates effective company policies addressing changing company needs, provides effective guidance and interpretation of policies
  • Along with the Vice President of Human Resources, coordinates the recruitment of new employees using passive and active recruiting methods across all divisions as requested and needed
  • Develops orientation, onboarding, meet and greets, new employee news, etc. for Corporate new hires and existing employees
  • Works with supervisors and managers on performance appraisals and short-term objective plans for approval
  • Coordinates and organizes Company Programs and initiatives, including Lunch and Learn and training seminars, both online and in person
  • Professionally organizes all Company sponsored social events
  • Oversees the establishment and maintenance of confidential employee data files
  • Serves as contact point with vendors (all HR related)
  • Coordinates the annual open enrollment process each November in all locations; conducts open enrollment meetings for Corporate
  • Focuses on continuous improvement initiatives; develops ideas for streamlining processes and reducing administrative burden
  • Develop programs which enrich Corporate Culture
  • Executes special benefits related projects as assigned
  • Provides similar work for the Vice President of HR and Corporate HR and Payroll Manager as necessary
  • Supports Divisional HR staff as needed
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested

 

Position Requirements:

The HR Generalist (SR) must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:

  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum 5 years increasing HR experience in a manufacturing
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Must model high moral integrity and ethics
