Masis Professional Group is seeking a Security Engineer for a client located in Holyoke, MA.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (Hybrid)
Length: 12 Month with possible extension
Job Responsibilities:
- Assessing new and retired assets for the company, while following established procedures in maintaining compliance with company and industry security standards
- Manage security related infrastructure and applications
- Scan systems for vulnerabilities and confirming adherence to established security standards
- Review entries and updates to several monitoring applications
- Track tickets and projects during asset creations and retirements
- Capable of technical communications with subject matter experts on Unix and Windows systems to resolve configuration issues
- Able to follow standard operating procedures for verifying compliance with industry security frameworks and network settings
- Strong time management and project tracking or project management skills
- Preferred: Experience using a help desk ticketing application
- Experience with logging systems, ideally Splunk
- Background in automating processes, and presenting analysis of various metrics or data
Requirements:
- Covid Vaccination required.
- Undergraduate Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology or Computer Science. Alternatively four years of equivalent experience in Information Technology
- 2-4 years’ experience with Windows or Unix systems
- 1-2 years’ experience with ticketing applications relating to information technology
- Experience scanning systems or applications for vulnerabilities
