Production Manager







Title:  Stamping Operations Manager



PURPOSE: Primary accomplishments, products, and services, who benefits from them, and how.


Responsible for the organization, control, direction, and scheduling of all production personnel and production requirements associated with all production processes within the company. Discharge other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  What do you have to do to achieve the desired results of your job.


·         Administer the training necessary to maintain and improve the skills and abilities of personnel in the Stamping Department.

·         Monitor and adjust scheduling of all production personnel within the production processes.

·         Ensure the safety of all equipment and facilities in the Stamping Department and that they are maintained in good working order.

·         Communication with Plant Manager, Process Manager, and Shipping to ensure necessary supplies & monitor production-related issues.

·         Requisitions materials, parts, and supplies as required.

·         Assists Quality with inspection of the stamped products.

·         Communication with customers on production and quality issues.

·         May fulfill any of the requirements of the personnel working within their direction.





·         Must be able to perform all duties and meet requirements with or without accommodation.

·         High School Diploma or equivalent.

·         Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as plane & solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to perform basic math functions using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals including translation to and from metric measurements.

·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, & technical procedures.  Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.

·         Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

·         Must have the ability to successfully complete all training requirements as listed on the training matrix for this position.

·         Five years’ experience in stamping plant and die maintenance.

·         Proven mechanical proficiency and blueprint reading ability.

·         Must be available for scheduled work:  normal workday of 10 hours, more or less hours as necessary, night shift and weekend work are possible.
