Purpose: Primary accomplishments, products, and services, who benefits from them and how.

 

Responsible for communication regarding production for both inside and outside the company, including Production Management, customers, and vendors.  Receives and enters new orders from customers.  Coordinates the purchase of raw materials and other necessities to meet production needs while maintaining inventory levels.  The scheduler of orders for manufacturing to meet customer requirements.  Discharge other duties and responsibilities as assigned by customer demand and/or Vice President.

Essential Duties:

 

 

 

·         Receive new, change, and expedite orders from customers via telephone, fax, EDI, etc.

·         Obtain quotes and other necessary information (pricing, delivery, etc.) to purchase raw material and secondary operations from vendors to meet production schedule and quality standards

·         Process paperwork and other documentation for each new and change order

·         Coordinate the release schedule for raw material with material vendors

·         Coordinate production schedule with Production Manager to meet customer requirements while maintaining established inventory levels

·         Update daily production schedule

·         Control the release of customer orders for shipment by working closely with the warehouse and clerical assistant

·         Primary customer service contact for all stamping-related vendors

Minimum Requirements:

 

·         Must be able to perform all duties and meet requirements with or without accommodation.

·         High school diploma, analytical skill requirement for production control, understanding of purchasing functions

·         Ability to perform basic math functions using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.

·         Must have the ability to successfully complete all training requirements listed on the training matrix for this position

·         Must possess good customer service skills.

·         Must be available for scheduled work: normal workday of 10 hours, more or less hours as necessary, weekend work is possible.
