GENERAL DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE: This position is responsible for safely analyzing and correcting electrical machinery malfunctions. The incumbent is also responsible for the safe installation, maintenance and repair of all machine tools, shop tools and maintenance of production and building equipment. Assures the proper maintenance of stock items required to perform the general responsibilities of this position. Required to complete a daily maintenance work log and issue purchase order requests for repair parts. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: • Satisfactory attendance and performance record within past 12-month period is required • Must be in current position for twelve (12) months to be considered • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Electrical Machine repair REQUIRED. Two (2) year Technical Degree in Electronics is preferred. • Knowledge of and experience with PLC programming and programming of AC/DC motor drives. Must be fully capable of wiring, installing conduit and disconnects and other related electrical components in voltages up to 600 volts. Able to operate electrical switch gears and vacuum switches in voltages up to 600 volts. • Willingness to work overtime and at times on short notice • Must be able to read, interpret and update blueprints, schematics, machine manuals and drawings and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Troubleshooting knowledge and experience as well as mechanical and electrical/electronic aptitude with knowledge of power transmission, bearings and seals and electrical components is a requirement of the position. Analytical and problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude and effective communication skills are required. Must have a demonstrated ability of cooperation, leadership and willingness to assist fellow employees in a team-based work environment. • Previous manufacturing experience
