Job Summary: The Financial Sales Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing and updating of the Gross-To-Net sales accruals and monitor them against the contractual agreements to ensure its accuracy. This role will also be responsible for all the accounting and reporting of the sales performance against the budget as well as against the forecast, review and processing admin fees and rebates, identifying revenue and margin leakages and provide analytical support in resolving the disputed claims.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts periodic reviews, processing of wholesaler admin feeds, GPO admin fees and rebates and updates accrual rates for chargebacks, wholesaler admin fees, GPO admin fees, redistribution fees, early pay discounts, rebates, and sales returns
  • Partners with 3PLs and Operations to ensure sales deduction accruals are in line with contractual agreements and analyze any variances
  • Provides analytical support for resolving disputes concerning excess deductions by the customers
  • Performs critical analyses to provide actionable insight of the gross-to-net deductions and highlight the areas of revenue/margin leakages
  • Develops gross-to-net price forecast models by incorporating existing as well as expected contract pricing to ensure accuracy of the revenue forecast
  • Reviews accuracy of the early pay discount deductions to ensure compliance with the payment terms
  • Prepares revenue related journal entries at periodic intervals and perform ledger account reconciliations
  • Maintains accurate accounting records ensure compliance with the US GAAP and IFRS
  • Conducts reconciliations of the actual transaction data to the associated accrual assumptions and true-ups
  • Responsible for Revenue Recognition accounting in accordance with ASC606
  • Performs month-end and ad-hoc sales reporting
  • Tracks, maintains, and reports monthly and quarterly operation metrics to management
  • Supports internal and external audits through preparation of audit schedules and responding to inquiries
  • Develops and implements process improvements
  • Perform other assignments, ad-hoc analyses and special projects as required

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with focus in Accounting, CPA, MBA, CMA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience or a combination of education and relevant experience required
  • Working experience with SAP preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office with high competency in Excel
  • Prior experience in Pharmaceutical industry with gross-to-net accounting preferred
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and how it relates to revenue recognition (ASC606) and gross-to-net accounting
