Develops new products and provides sustaining engineering support for all products and to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

•Prepares system layout, detailed drawings, schematics and bill of materials for new designs including electrical panels and wiring diagrams

•Reviews technical specifications, analyzes technical data to determine appropriate limits and variables for product specification.

•Reviews and interprets UL, NEC, and NFPA70 design codes when creating new designs

•Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches required to meet production requirements

•Capable of troubleshooting wiring and panel assemblies during production testing as required

•Capable of PLC programming for custom jobs as required

•Assists tech support as needed with customer issues related to electrical design, wiring, andcontrols communications

•Provide training and guidance for new production electricians on wiring and electrical assembly best practices as required

•Carryout and adhere to Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Order process

•Drive continuous improvement in product line by reducing cost, lead time, and production time

•Able to reprioritize work when customer demands change

•Maintains current level of professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and/or participating in professional associations.

•Works well and acts as liaison with engineering and production personnel

Qualifications:

•B.S. in electrical engineering with 2-5 years of applicable experience.

•Computer skills: Autocad, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Autocad Inventor or similar 3D CAD modeling, RSLogix or similar ladder logic programming
