Buyer II

Masis Professional Group is currently hiring for an experienced Buyer II to join our clients team! Salary: $90,000-$130,000

Responsibilities:

• Purchase Order placement

• Supplier communication

• Open Order reports

• Material expedites

• Interface to Production team to ensure a smooth flow of material to Production

• Interface to Receiving, Warehouse and other Persimmon functions

• Ownership of suppliers

• Project management for material flow improvements (Kanban, bulk issue, etc.)

• Support discrepant material process

• Review MRP advice for assigned suppliers

• Develop and implement plans for material flow improvements

• Support Commodity Managers with PO placement, PO expedites and Open Order Reports

• Work with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery

• Support Persimmon discrepant material process by working with suppliers to expedite material repair or rework

• Work with Production, Receiving and Warehouse teams to support on-time delivery of material

Skills/ Experience:

• Experience with MRP systems

• Experience purchasing machined and fabricated parts

• Knowledge of reading prints and GD&T (not required, but candidates with this knowledge will be preferred)

• Experience managing discrepant material with suppliers

• Experience with various material flow processes – Kanban, bulk issue, etc.

• MS Office (Word, Excel)

• Excellent communication and analytical skills

• 3-5 years’ experience in a purchasing role

• 4-year college degree (BA or BS)
